The internship activity involves 300 hours (12 CFU) spent at:
· A university laboratory (STI type)
· Another public or private structure (STA type)
· Abroad (STE type) within the Erasmus or another international mobility program.
The student can extend this activity by using up to 6 CFU from the elective credits (Rector’s Note Prot. No. 76946 of 25.10.2016).
The activity must be carried out under the supervision of a tutor selected from the program's faculty. In the case of internships outside the Degree Program, the tutor from the program will work alongside the one assigned by the host structure.
At the end of the internship, regardless of its type, the student must prepare a brief report on the work done, which must be signed by the tutor and presented in a 4-5 slide presentation.
A specific commission appointed by the Degree Program will evaluate the completed activity.
Internships carried out outside the university are regulated by specific agreements signed between the Department of Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology and the relevant entities, and a list of these is available on the program’s webpage.
Students wishing to carry out external internships at institutions and/or companies must contact the teaching office of the Department of Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology or email This email address is being protected from spambots. It should be noted that, for the final grade assignment, up to a maximum of 2 points may be awarded for activities carried out externally at public structures, or for activities carried out abroad within the Erasmus program or another international mobility program recognized by the university (Article 7, Educational Regulations).
