SECSMol: Southern European Conference on the Science of Molecules |
Andrea Lombardi
Noelia Faginas Lago
SECSMol, acronym for Southern European Conference on the Science of Molecules, is a newborn meeting. Its goal is to gather southern european chemists and physicists, with an interest in atomic and molecular fundamental problems. The spirit of the meeting is not to be boring and to allow people talk of their research in a free way and without the rigidity that always characterizes large formal conferences. This is achieved by not too dense timetables, elastic time slots for presentations and questions, plenty of time for discussions and a favourable climate for building new collaborations in a sociality oriented athmosphere. SECSMol is also intended to be a low cost conference, whenever possible, meaning that organization is carried out by local committees, possibly using resources of local institutions. The participation of young researchers, with oral contributions, is also strongly encouraged in SECSMol.
